Logistics & freight

Our trucks, our schedule, our problem when something slips.

Scrap logistics is mostly a promise about timing. We keep freight in-house — our own fleet plus our sister trucking company — so a missed pull is ours to fix rather than a subcontractor's to explain.

How collection runs

Three ways material leaves your site.

Scheduled service
A fixed cadence set to how fast your containers fill. Predictable for your floor, predictable for our dispatch, and the basis of most managed programs.
On-call pickup
For material that accumulates unevenly — project work, line moves, a run that generated more than usual. Call it in and we schedule it.
Live loading
A truck waits while you load. The answer when yard space is tight, the window is short, or the material has to be loaded under supervision.

Equipment

What we can put on the road.

  • Roll-off trucks for 10 to 60 cubic yard containers
  • Van trailers for packaged and palletized material
  • Open-top trailers for overhead loading
  • Flatbeds for oversized structural steel, vessels and machinery
  • End dump trailers for high-volume loose ferrous
  • Box trucks for smaller in-plant collections
Custom Recycling truck used for scrap collection across the Carolinas

Territory

How far we run.

We run roughly a three-and-a-half-hour radius from York, South Carolina, which covers most of the Carolinas and reaches into north Georgia, east Tennessee and southern Virginia. For the right program, no distance is out of the question.

Sister company

Custom Trucking & Hauling

Freight capacity beyond our own fleet comes from our sister company, which runs hauling across the Southeast. Same ownership, same yard, same people answering the phone.

Questions

Logistics questions

How quickly can you get a truck to our facility?
For accounts inside our core Carolinas territory, usually within a few days of the call, and scheduled accounts run on a fixed cadence. Freight is handled by our own fleet and our sister company rather than brokered out, so the answer we give you is one we control.
Do you offer live loading?
Yes. Where a drop-and-swap will not work — limited yard space, a short window, material that has to be loaded under supervision — a truck waits while you load.
How far will you travel for a pickup?
Roughly a three-and-a-half-hour radius from York, South Carolina as a matter of routine, which covers most of the Carolinas and reaches into north Georgia, east Tennessee and southern Virginia. For programs of the right size, distance is negotiable.

Need material moved on a schedule you can plan around?

A no-obligation site visit, a container plan sized to your process, and a written proposal. No pressure, no cost.
